August 12, 2025: NJHA Welcomes Health Policy Veteran Robin Ford in New Role

Robin FordRobin Ford, whose healthcare experience includes serving as Deputy Commissioner of Health Systems at the N.J. Department of Health (NJDOH), has joined the New Jersey Hospital Association as Vice President of Healthcare Reimbursement.

Ford brings a wealth of expertise to NJHA, including a deep understanding of the licensing and financing of New Jersey’s healthcare facilities gained during her six years of working at NJDOH. Prior to that, she was an analyst at the Office of Legislative Services for over 12 years, primarily focused on budget analysis, policy and legislation related to the departments of Banking and Insurance, Health, Human Services and Labor and Workforce Development. She most recently worked at the New Jersey Innovation Institute.

“Robin has an unparalleled depth of knowledge of the policy and fiscal challenges facing healthcare providers, particularly in the area of payment for care delivered under programs like Medicaid and charity care,” said NJHA President and CEO Cathy Bennett. “She will be an invaluable resource as our members work to preserve essential care amid $3.3 billion in Medicaid cuts under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”

Ford, of Allentown, N.J., holds a master’s in public policy and bachelor’s in political science from Rutgers University.
