Elective Procedures Are Well Underway in N.J. Hospitals

Hospitals have resumed elective surgeries and procedures in their facilities as coronavirus activity continues to decline in the state. The resumption of these critical services comes with a number of changes to ensure the safety of patients and staff. NJHA President and CEO Cathy Bennett and NJHA Board Chair Kevin Slavin address these issues and others in an op-ed for NJ.com. Resuming the healthcare services that N.J. residents rely on is an important part of the state’s recovery but, even more importantly, “it’s an essential part of our road forward in protecting the well-being of New Jersey residents and the health of our communities,” state Bennett and Slavin.
