Mar. 29, 2018: Registration Open for 2018 AHA Annual Meeting

Members are encouraged to join NJHA staff May 6 – 9 in Washington, D.C., for the American Hospital Association’s 2018 Annual Membership Meeting. This is the most important hospital and health system advocacy event of the year. AHA’s President and CEO Rick Pollack has said, “Healthcare is changing and what the future holds depends largely on how we shape it. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the discussion as hospitals and health systems continue to Advance Health in America.”

CEOs and government relations officers are encouraged to attend this important advocacy event and to bring a member of their management team, a physician, a trustee or a volunteer. A large and visible presence will reinforce the intensity of the advocacy efforts.

Events include:

  • A briefing for N.J. attendees with Roberto Sada, the health staffer from Energy & Commerce Committee Ranking Member Rep. Frank Pallone’s team.
  • Monday evening NJHA will host a group dinner at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab Restaurant.
  • Tuesday afternoon, along with the state associations from California, Pennsylvania, New York and Illinois, NJHA will host a bi-partisan, bi-cameral congressional staff panel discussion to be held in the Capitol Visitor Center. The panel discussion will be followed by a hospital leaders reception in the Russell Senate Building.
  • Congressional member office visits Wednesday morning.

Visit the AHA’s website to view the full schedule of events and rates. To ensure that rooms at the Washington Hilton Hotel go exclusively to registrants, meeting attendees will be able to reserve hotel rooms only after they have registered for the meeting.
