Oct. 17, 2017: HRET Presents Health Career Scholarships at 36th Annual Golf Tournament

NJHA held its 36th annual golf tournament at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson. Executives and trustees from across the membership participated in the annual event that supports the important work of the Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey.

The post-golf program is the traditional setting for the announcement of HRET’s annual Health Career Scholarship winners. This year’s honorees are Sara Isaacson of Aberdeen and Paola Rios of Elmwood Park, who received $2,000 to continue their educations.

Isaacson is in her final year in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Rutgers University and maintains a 3.968 grade point average. Rios is pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the College of Saint Elizabeth and maintains a grade point average of 3.78. She is an emergency room nurse at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center.

A number of prizes were awarded to golfers from across the state. Coveted team honors went to Glenn A. Zirbser, Dr. Jeffrey Gordon, Brian Duffy and Joseph Davi from Jefferson Health (New Jersey Division).
