Sept. 13, 2016: NJHA Hosting World Sepsis Day Twitter Chat

In recognition of World Sepsis Day Sept. 13, NJHA is hosting an hour-long Twitter chat with infection prevention specialist Shannon Davila, RN, MSN, from the American Hospital Association’s Health Research and Educational Trust. Davila, formerly clinical quality improvement manager for NJHA, has been working with New Jersey’s hospitals since late 2014 on targeted, evidence-based ways to reduce sepsis mortality in the state.

The chat will take place from 3 to 4 p.m., and questions can be sent to the Twitter handle @NJHospitals using the hashtag #SepsisDayNJ.

In addition to the Twitter chat with Davila, NJHA will be releasing a new report on the first year of results from the New Jersey Sepsis Learning and Action Collaborative. Some of the results have already been announced in the news, but a more detailed look at how members have reduced severe sepsis mortality in one year will be shared next week.
