Mar. 23, 2016: CMS Begins Survey of Providers on Quality Reporting

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is launching a survey to obtain information for the 2018 National Impact Assessment of the CMS Quality Measures Report.

The last such report was done in 2015 and can be found on the CMS Web site. The RAND Corporation has been contracted by CMS to issue the survey.

The survey will ask healthcare organizations about the impact of quality measures and quality reporting programs. At this time, RAND is calling providers to obtain contact information for their quality leaders so that the survey can be sent to the correct persons. The survey itself will be administered in mid-April.

In addition, a small group of providers will be asked to participate in a more in-depth interview in place of the electronic survey. This is an opportunity for stakeholders to share feedback on how the quality measures are affecting organizations.
