June 16, 2016: Masters Certificate in Senior Care Management Offered

LeadingAge NJ, in collaboration with Rutgers and NJHA, is offering a masters certificate in senior care management beginning in the fall.

Registration information and the faculty line-up for the 2016 program was shared with attendees during the LeadingAge NJ annual meeting last week.

This year’s class begins Sept. 29 and runs through Dec. 8. The class meets weekly on Thursdays at 5 p.m. at the Rutgers Piscataway campus.

Featured enhancements based on the 2015 participants’ feedback are:

  • A session on Managed Long-Term Support Services (MLTSS), accountable care organizations, dual-eligible special needs plans and bundling, co-led by former Department of Human Services Deputy Commissioner Lowell Arye;
  • A case-based approach to learning about governance in non-profit organizations; and
  • A focused session on using data to tell your story with a nurse consultant from PROCARE, LeadingAge NY.

This 10-session program was well-received by the 2015 class, and their comments have informed this year’s program greatly. Early registration is encouraged as this class fills quickly. Click here to register.
