Apr. 5, 2016: Key Leaders to Join in NJ Healthcare Stakeholder Summit April 21

New Jersey’s key healthcare associations and other stakeholders will gather at NJHA April 21 in a high-level discussion on the unprecedented changes at play in the healthcare delivery system.

The New Jersey Healthcare Stakeholders Summit will feature thought leaders from the Association of Health Plans, the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey and the Medical Society of New Jersey, in addition to NJHA, in exploring the challenges – and opportunities – facing the healthcare sector today.

NJHA President and CEO Betsy Ryan called the summit a first-of-its-kind collaboration between these leading healthcare trade associations.

“In this era of sweeping change, it’s more important than ever that the distinct parts of our healthcare delivery system understand how their needs and views intersect,” said Ryan. “Our organizations all recognize that we share the goal of providing top-quality care at a reasonable cost to the people of New Jersey.

Panelists will include Wardell Sanders of the Association of Health Plans, Larry Downs of MSNJ, Dean Paranicas of the HealthCare Institute and NJHA’s Ryan. Panel discussions will include topics such as new models of care under the Affordable Care Act; the accountable care organization approach to wellness and prevention; patient-centered medical care; and the ACA’s impact on hospitals, physicians and the life sciences sector.

Additional participants will be announced for the lineup.

This daylong program provides continuing legal education credits as well as category 1 credits for physicians.
