Sept. 25, 2015: NJHA to Host Lobbying Education Session for Clinicians Sept. 30

There’s still time to register for NJHA’s Healthcare Advocacy 101 education session Sept. 30 at NJHA.

This hands-on skills-building lobbying seminar for clinical professionals offers a unique opportunity for clinicians to develop the tools required to successfully advocate on behalf of their healthcare facilities in Trenton on state policy issues.

The agenda features an accomplished lineup of speakers including Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-Summit) and Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro (D-Woolwich Township) who will advise participants on how to effectively lobby a legislator. Catherine Hughes, vice president for nursing integration and outcomes at Virtua, also will be on hand to teach colleagues how to craft and deliver expert testimony. Mary Kay Roberts, partner at Riker Danzig and member of the Health Care Administration Board, will guide attendees through the regulatory process in New Jersey.

Advocacy 101 is being offered to members and non-members for a low fee and will include a continental networking breakfast. Continuing education credits will be offered for several disciplines.
