The Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services has announced the availability of grant funds to support start-up of behavioral health homes in Atlantic, Cape May and Monmouth counties. DMHAS has issued a Request for Letters of Interest, awarded to certified or provisionally certified behavioral health homes in the three counties.

According to DMHAS, the behavioral health home implementation “requires a vision of mental health care that is broader and more holistic than that required for many of the services currently delivered in the public system.”

The maximum for each award will be $50,000. Proposals are due no later than Nov. 12, and notification will be made by Dec. 23.
