on the Supreme Court Decision on the Affordable Care Act

“Today’s Supreme Court ruling will allow the much-needed reform of our healthcare system to continue, and that’s great news for uninsured Americans and healthcare consumers across the country. While the Affordable Care Act has its supporters and its detractors, there’s widespread agreement that our healthcare system is unsustainable on its current course and changes are needed to make healthcare both high in quality and high in value.

“Hospitals and other healthcare providers have already invested greatly in efforts to improve healthcare quality, to make care delivery more coordinated and seamless and to make healthcare services more cost-effective. They are committed to that work, and it will now continue with the reassurance that the Affordable Care Act will provide the policy foundation to support those efforts moving forward.”
