Sept. 16, 2019: Register Today for 2020 Joint Commission Accreditation Hospital Update

Join NJHA Nov. 5 and 6 for a fast-paced program offering an overview of the changes and revisions that frequently occur within The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation, as well as those requirements that will impact organizations in the near future. Attendees will stay ahead of the curve by reviewing both new and revised standards, the latest compliance issues, changes to the onsite survey and the National Patient Safety Goals.

For hospitals to participate in and receive payment from the Medicare and Medicaid programs, they must meet the eligibility requirements for program participation and obtain a certification of compliance with the Conditions of Participation (CoPs) set forth in federal regulations.

During the CMS Update session, participants will gain a better understanding of the key elements of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services federal budget, how to incorporate the most recent CMS Quality Safety & Oversight letters – formerly Survey & Certification Letters – in day-to-day operations, identifying the most challenging Medicare CoPs and the most challenging deficiencies being cited, and receive strategies to help organizations with compliance efforts.

During the Tracer Analytics session, participants will learn how to identify types of tracers which assist in detecting gaps or potential risk points that could affect the safety and quality of patients’ care. Participants will also review examples of focused evaluations and evaluate how tracer data can be collected and used to determine the effectiveness of process design in the delivery of safe, quality care.

This program is intended for nursing directors, managers, quality improvement directors, risk managers, safety directors, survey coordinators, healthcare professionals with basic knowledge of the standards, individuals responsible for coordinating or implementing TJC hospital accreditation and standard compliance and those who have been through a survey and frequently work with accreditation issues.
