Sept. 18, 2018: Voter Information Available for Patients, Consumers

NJHA and Disability Rights New Jersey have once again partnered to help patients and others register to vote in the upcoming election season.

The brochure “Do You Want To Vote – Here’s How” includes information on applying for a mail-in ballot, appointing a messenger for ballot delivery, returning the ballot for counting and assisting individuals who may otherwise not have access to the polls.

N.J.S.A. 19:63-3 allows voters to apply by mail no later than seven days prior to the election. But for those who do not have enough time to apply for a mail-in ballot, they may authorize a messenger to apply on their behalf, bring them their ballot and then deliver their completed ballot to the County Board of Elections.
