May 17, 2017: NJHA Partners with ACHENJ to Offer Face-to-Face Credit Program

Save the date: NJHA is planning a two-day program in October, the first of its kind in partnership with the American College of Healthcare Executives’ New Jersey Chapter.

In a move to make obtaining credits more convenient to its members, NJHA’s Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey has partnered with ACHE to offer its first face-to-face credit seminar. The program – Effective Leadership for High-Reliability Healthcare – will be held Oct. 10 and 11 at the NJHA Conference and Event Center in Princeton.

Despite efforts within healthcare to address challenges in patient safety and quality of care, there continues to be a struggle to reduce errors. Today, organizations are challenged to simultaneously improve quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction as compensation is increasingly tied to performance in all three areas. This highly interactive two-day seminar looks beyond traditional healthcare models by exploring the approaches used at high reliability organizations. Discover what makes these approaches successful and how they can be applied in any organization.

ACHE face-to-face credits are required to move forward on the pathway to ACHE Fellowship status or renew the credential. This program satisfies the 12-credit requirement. The program also offers 12 credit hours with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and The National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).
