May 18, 2016: May 23 Conference on Emerging Viral Threats Offers Continuing Ed Credits


NJHA’s May 23 conference Perspectives on Emerging Viral Threats: Moving Forward From Ebola has been approved for seven continuing education credit hours for EMS providers.

Held at the Princeton Regency Hyatt, the conference is geared toward healthcare leadership, clinicians and public health officials, who will have the opportunity to interact with leaders in the field of emerging infectious disease and learn what it takes to build a comprehensive plan in the face of chaos.

Presenters for this free, daylong event include:

  • Jeffrey Gold, chancellor of the University of Nebraska Medical Center which became a treatment destination for Ebola patients
  • Lewis Rubinson, a physician who served at “ground zero” of the Ebola crisis and faced potential Ebola infection
  • Dan Hanfling, contributing author of Crisis Standards of Care, published by the Institute of Medicine
  • Dan Lucey, senior scholar with the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and adjunct professor of microbiology and immunology at Georgetown University Medical Center.

Attendance at the event is free, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, but registration is required.
