Lourdes Health Network was among the providers selected to participate in the new ACO model as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced the first wave of Next Generation Accountable Care Organization participants.

Lourdes Health Network will participate in the Next Generation ACO model as part of the Trinity Health ACO.

The Next Generation ACO builds on the Pioneer ACO model by allowing provider participants the opportunity to share in additional generated savings – and losses. Next Generation ACOs will be allowed to waive certain Medicare payment rules, such as the skilled nursing facility three-day-stay rule and additional flexibility to use telehealth services to improve care coordination.

Trinity Health ACO is one of 21 provider organizations selected to participate in the Next Generation ACO model.
