Governor's Commission on Rationalizing Health Care Resources: NJHA's Response

The state's Commission on Rationalizing Health Care Resources concluded its work in January 2008 with the release of its long-anticipated final report. The 205-page document examines the many factors that have placed so many New Jersey hospitals in financial distress and offers dozens of recommendations for defining "essential" hospitals, improving hospital efficiency and accountability, promoting transparency of healthcare quality and pricing information and improving collaboration between physicians and hospitals.
