EducationNEW! June 17, 2008 Understanding and Interpreting Hospital Financial Reports: Tools for Trustees We invite you to join us for a special education opportunity customized for hospital board members. This executive length program provides a concentrated approach to understanding the unique aspects of corporate financial statements of healthcare institutions.Participants will gain a working knowledge of the principal financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in net assets and statement of cash flows), the role of performance dashboards and the financial and management paradigms that must be followed in exercising a board’s fiduciary responsibility.
NEW! May 22, 2008 The Mission and the Margin: The Keys to Exceptional Board Performance Nationally recognized board educator Keith T. Pryor has designed this program for NJHA in response to trustees' requests for an information packed governance seminar that can fit into their already overcrowded schedules. The program is of equal value to the experienced trustee or the novice. The session will include understanding and avoiding the five biggest errors that trustees and their boards make; truly understanding the legal tenets that underpin charitable trusteeship in New Jersey; managing the complex relationships that trusteeship brings - with the CEO, other trustees and the community; why trustee selection and recruitment is the most critical job the board faces; and how to do it successfully.
Trustee Education - Webinars NJHA is pleased to augment its in-house governance education offerings with several Webinars. These Webinars will be presented by exceptionally knowledge and effective speakers Jamie Orlikoff and Jim Reinertsen. Program descriptions and registration information are attached. For these programs you will be registering through The Reinertsen Group.
