The White House announced a major push from now through July 4th to ensure that 70 percent of U.S. adults receive at least one shot of the COVID vaccine. The “Month of Action” will include a number of strategies including:
- Free child care for people getting vaccinated, in partnership with four large child care chains
- Extended vaccination hours at pharmacies
- Additional community-based events, along with canvassing, phone banking and text outreach
- Challenges among mayors and universities to create competition to increase vaccination rates
- A partnership with barber shops
