Visits Restored for Pediatric, Developmentally Disabled and Intellectually Disabled Residents

The state has provided details of its new visiting process that permits parents, family members, legal guardians and support persons of pediatric, developmentally disabled and intellectually disabled adult and pediatric residents of nursing homes to arrange for indoor visits by appointment. Executive Directive 20-025 addresses a number of precautions and processes including screening of visitors, masking, designation of an appropriate visitation area, informed consent and more. This guidance does not apply to the general adult nursing home population without intellectual or developmental disabilities, and it does not apply to assisted living.
