The CDC released updated guidance on school operations as schools in the Northeast face looming uncertainty about reopening plans and schools that have reopened in other parts of the nation confront school-based transmissions. The new guidance addresses a long list of topics including preparations for reopening, ventilation, food services, cohorting, students with special needs and coping and support.

The CDC also provided guidance for school-based childcare programs.
