CDC Reports Pandemic Impact on Behavioral Health


Results of a recent survey of more than 5,400 U.S. adults says they are experiencing a number of behavioral health difficulties amid the ongoing pandemic. The survey, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the last week of June, found elevated levels of adverse mental health conditions, substance use and suicidal ideation were reported. 

Younger adults, racial/ethnic minorities, essential workers and unpaid adult caregivers also reported having experienced disproportionately worse mental health outcomes, increased substance use and elevated suicidal ideation.
