August is #NationalBreastfeedingMonth, a celebration aimed at advancing advocacy, protection and promotion of breastfeeding for all families.  NJHA and its members continue to work with the N.J. Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support Baby Friendly USA designation. 

New Jersey currently has 14 Baby Friendly USA-designated hospitals including: Atlantic Health System’s Chilton Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, Newton Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center; AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Capital Health Medical Center Hopewell, Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center, JFK Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center; Inspira Medical Center Elmer, Virtua’s Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Memorial Hospital Burlington County, Virtua Voorhees; and, University Hospital.
