The New Jersey WasteWise Business Network, part of the state Department of Environmental Protection, is holding a free seminar on waste reduction and recycling May 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at the New Jersey Forensic Science Technology Center Auditorium in Hamilton.

The meeting will feature a presentation from Arielle Bernard, core sales support manager for Waste Management, on organics recycling technology that turns food waste into green energy, and from Wayne DeFeo, Essex County Recycling Coordinator and founder of DeFeo Associates, on the “ABCs of Plastics and Plastics Recycling”.
