NJHA Health Information Services is offering a free webinar Feb. 27 on a new solution to drive value-based reimbursement and quality.

NJHA’s HBS Health Information Services has developed DRG Assure  which directly links clinical documentation with coding to drive more accurate severity of illness and risk of mortality scores. Value-based payment systems such as APR-DRGs have placed a new emphasis on the relationship between clinical documentation, performance improvement/quality scores and medical record coding. Correct coding will drive acute reimbursement and quality measures.

The 60-minute webinar begins at 1 p.m. and will provide background on value-based payments, demonstrate how documentation pitfalls can adversely impact severity of illness and risk of mortality scores and show how the DRG Assure program can help. NJHA also will offer participants a complimentary analysis of cases to determine the current level of coding accuracy.
