Sept. 14, 2018: ONL NJ Offers Nurse Leader Workshop Oct. 11

The Organization of Nurse Leaders of New Jersey is hosting its Nurse Leader and Emerging Nurse Leaders Workshop: Sharpening Your Skills as a Nurse Leader Oct. 11 at the NJHA Conference and Event Center.

Understanding all of the elements of a healthy nurse work environment is essential to the success of nurse leaders and aspiring nurse leaders. Improving the nursing work environment has become a worldwide issue and is a key goal of ONL NJ. An extensive body of evidence confirms the relationships among positive work environments, positive nurse outcomes of job satisfaction and retention with positive patient outcomes.

This program features a lineup of veteran nurse leaders and consultants guiding participants through discussions on collaboration, authentic leadership, budgeting, staffing and a safe, secure workplace. The program also will examine the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Standards for Establishing and Sustaining Healthy Work Environments and the variables that go into supporting the model.

This program is targeted toward nurse managers, nursing coordinators, assistant nurse managers, staff nurses, chief nursing officers, vice presidents of patient care, assistant vice presidents of nursing, administrative directors, directors of nursing, new ONL NJ mentors and mentees, university deans, nurse educators, nurse researchers and post-acute leaders, nursing home administrators and assisted living administrators.
