Sept. 13, 2018: Register Today: Free Events for Sepsis Awareness Month in September


In preparation for Sepsis Awareness Month in September, NJHA is planning two important events highlighting the most current evidence-based practices and improvements in sepsis care. Both events are free and open now for registration for all who wish to attend.

On Sept. 19 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., NJHA will host the New Jersey Sepsis Learning Action Collaborative Annual Conference. Participants will hear from industry speakers and view poster presentations exploring:

  • The current state of sepsis quality improvement activities in New Jersey and nationally
  • How to implement a pediatric sepsis screening and treatment program
  • The functions and responsibility of the sepsis coordinator role
  • Resources to engage patients and families in understanding the impact of sepsis and the expectation of life after sepsis.

In addition, NJHA will join with Atlantic Health System Sept. 20 for the program “Think Sepsis. Save Lives. A symposium on pediatric sepsis and how we can improve our care.” The program, to be held in the Malcom Forbes Auditorium at Morristown Medical Center, will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an optional workshop from 12:45 to 2 p.m.
