Oct. 26, 2018: New Paid Time Off Law Focus of Next ‘Hot Topics’ Event


NJHA is hosting a half-day seminar, “Hot Topics in Employment Law II,” Nov. 12 at the NJHA Conference and Event Center in Princeton. Attorneys, compliance officers, human resources and ethics committee members will have a chance to hear from an employment law expert on changes to state regulations.

Robyn L. Aversa, Esq. of Jackson Lewis, will address recent developments in employment law and share expertise on the following topics:

  • New Jersey gender equity and paid sick leave legislation – implementation guidelines for employers
  • A review of the recently proposed paid sick leave regulations, and
  • How to make paid time off policies compliant with the state’s new paid sick leave laws.

Aversa defends employers in employment discrimination litigation before state and federal courts and agencies involving ERISA, race, gender, handicap and national origin discrimination and sexual harassment claims. She has extensive experience in counseling employers with respect to personnel in preparing alternative dispute resolution programs and in representing employers in such proceedings, including arbitrations and mediation of employee claims.
