NJHA offers a half-day workshop Dec. 11 providing detailed guidance and tools for “managing a HIPAA breach from beginning to end.”

The program is designed to assist organizations with evaluating and responding to security incidents and breaches which compromise protected health information (PHI) and personal information (PI). Topics to be covered include:

• Key terms under HIPAA and the New Jersey Identity Theft Prevention Act
• HIPAA breach risk assessment
• Breach prevention
• Breach response.

This program is intended for attorneys, trustees, compliance officers, HIPAA privacy officers and staff who are a part of an organization’s “HIPAA team.”
