Hospitals and health systems are teaming up with primary care and public health partners for Conference for Change: Colorectal and Lung Cancer Screening May 23 in West Windsor.
The conference is sponsored by ScreenNJ a cancer screening, education and awareness initiative. The conference will highlight statewide and regional lung and colorectal cancer data, strategies for improving screening rates and lessons learned from other states.
Under the leadership of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and working in partnership with the N.J. Department of Health, primary care providers and other healthcare organizations, the goal of ScreenNJ is to increase screening for lung and colorectal cancer, to reduce cancer mortality rates and to educate New Jersey residents about the importance of cancer screening, early detection and prevention. ScreenNJ was launched in 2017 and is funded in part by the state. Several NJHA members are partners in this initiative. The conference is free but registration is required.
