June 15, 2018: Medicaid Program Integrity Education Session for Long Term Care Facilities Planned


The Medicaid Fraud Division, the Department of Medical Assistance and Health Services, the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the five Medicaid managed care organizations are offering a free education program, June 22 at 10 a.m., to give nursing home and assisted living providers a better understanding of best practices to prevent, avoid and detect fraud, waste and abuse.  The program will be held at the N.J. Forensic Science Technology Center in Hamilton.

This program will focus on:

  • The structure of Medicaid program integrity efforts
  • The Medicaid regulatory framework
  • Medicaid documentation requirements
  • Third-party liability requirements
  • Fraud, waste and abuse obligations, and
  • Consequences for non-compliance.
