Feb. 26, 2018: Register Today for Finance Education for Clinicians Session


Registration is now open for Finance Education for Clinicians, to be held March 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at NJHA’s Conference and Event Center in Princeton.

This session, hosted in collaboration with the New Jersey chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, is intended for clinicians seeking to understand the financial elements of hospital operations. The focus of this year’s program is insurance and denials from a clinical perspective.

Attendees will learn:

  • Fundamentals of hospital charges and the impact of insurance on hospital reimbursement
  • The hospital revenue cycle with a focus on insurance contracting
  • Ideas to prevent and manage clinical denials, and
  • The insurance industry’s approach to complex clinical cases and the impact of such cases on hospital revenues. 

This event offers 5.25 contact hours of continuing education unit nursing credits, six continuing professional education accounting credits and five American College of Healthcare Executives qualified education credits.
