Apr. 17, 2018: Annual Healthcare Stakeholder Summit Returns April 27


NJHA’s Health Research and Educational Trust is co-sponsoring the 2018 New Jersey Health Care Stakeholder Summit with the Medical Society of New Jersey, HealthCare Institute of New Jersey and New Jersey Association of Health Plans. The event is being held Friday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NJHA Conference and Event Center.

Join representatives from New Jersey's healthcare communities -- hospitals, health plans, physicians and life sciences -- for a collaborative discussion on the state of healthcare and the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare sector. Dr. Harold Paz, chief medical officer of Aetna, will start the day with the keynote address followed by panel discussions by state and national thought leaders.

National leaders on the panel discussion “An Environmental Assessment of Healthcare: Where We’re Going Nationally” include:

  • Erik Rasmussen, vice president of legislative affairs, American Hospital Association
  • Richard Deem, senior vice president of advocacy, American Medical Association
  • Leanne Gassaway, senior vice president of state affairs, America’s Health Insurance Plans, and
  • Michelle Drozd, deputy vice president of policy and research, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.

State leaders discussing “New Jersey’s Healthcare Ecosystem:  Impacts to Our Home State” are:
