Apr. 13, 2018: CMS, NYU Holding Regional Summit on Reentry Health and the Opioid Crisis

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the New York University School of Medicine are hosting a free regional summit April 23 at NYU Langone Medical Center on reentry health and the opioid crisis.

Reentry is a term used to describe efforts to reduce recidivism rates of former inmates. Many returning to communities from incarceration have issues with substance use disorder and physical illness which can impede their ability to become productive members of their communities. This summit is designed to engage stakeholders from education, healthcare, social services and justice to learn how best to move forward in addressing these issues.

All NJHA members are welcome and encouraged to attend; there is no fee for registration. CMS believes that the hospital industry should be at the table and can make a difference in the field of reentry health and the opioids crisis. Registration is required.
