The state Department of Health announced that the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) has transitioned from the Department of Human Services to DOH. 

DOH marked the official transfer with the rollout of a new integrated DMHAS webpage, which includes a frequently asked questions page for stakeholders, employees and vendors. In addition, the physical transfer of staff begins this week. 

The Department of Health and DMHAS have held joint forums in 16 of 21 counties, with the remainder to be concluded by next week. The Department also will be scheduling separate meetings at the state’s psychiatric hospitals. NJHA will continue to monitor the transition and its impact.
