The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has issued an extension for hospitals paid under the inpatient prospective payment system to resubmit certain Worksheet S-10 data from the Medicare cost report. The original deadline of Sept. 30 is extended to Oct. 31.

Amended cost report data for fiscal years 2014 and 2015 will be considered for revision if received by the hospital’s Medicare Administrative Contractor on or before Oct. 31. The extension initially applied to hospitals in areas affected by the recent hurricanes, but has now been expanded to apply to all inpatient PPS hospitals.
