Nov. 17, 2017: NJHA to Host Universal Transfer Form Webinar Nov. 28


New Jersey’s mandatory universal transfer from, adopted in 2011, is designed to enhance and improve safety by ensuring that essential information is shared at the time of patient transfer or discharge.

NJHA is hosting a webinar Nov. 28 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. titled “New Jersey’s Mandatory Universal Transfer Form: Why? What? When? How?” The program will provide a review of the universal transfer form, including the Department of Health’s expectations concerning its use. Discussion will include the purpose and rationale behind the form, common misconceptions, how to properly use the form as a patient safety tool and how DOH evaluates its use.

This webinar is targeted to administrators, executive directors, chief operating officers, chief nursing officers, directors of nursing, directors of education, and directors of social service, discharge planning and case management, corporate compliance executives, in all licensed health care organizations.
