Nov. 14, 2017: ONL to Host Nov. 17 Workshop on Healthy Workplace

There’s still time to register for the Organization of Nurse Leaders-NJ’s all-day program, Nurse Leader & Aspiring Nurse Leader Workshop: Establishing & Sustaining Healthy Nursing Workplace Environments, Nov. 17 at NJHA.

This program is designed to provide a formal collaborative structure that gives clinical staff nurses a respected voice in determining human and environmental resources needed to provide the best care to the patients they serve and to engage and educate nurses in establishing and sustaining a healthy work environment.

The American Nurses Association states that the critical delivery of quality patient care relies on the identification and maintenance of an appropriate number and mix of nursing staff. Many variables influence workplace environments and staffing resources such as financial management of staffing resources, legislation for mandated staffing and research on staffing ratios for the work environment.

This education program will examine the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Standards for
Establishing and Sustaining Health Work Environments and the variables that go into supporting the model.
