May 19, 2017: Nominations Sought for AHA Circle of Life Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the American Hospital Association’s annual Circle of Life Award, which recognizes palliative and end-of-life programs that provide outstanding care for those facing a life-limiting illness.

All organizations that provide palliative or end-of-life care are eligible, including hospitals, health systems, hospices, long-term care facilities and other direct care providers.

The Circle of Life Award program highlights initiatives that demonstrate effective and innovative patient- and family-centered care that is timely, safe, efficient and equitable. The winning initiatives become the centerpiece of the program’s “Circle of Influence” to encourage further program development.
