NJHA has releasing an update to its comprehensive planning tool regarding hurricane preparedness, Weathering the Storm: A Hurricane Planning, Response and Recovery Toolkit. 

With expertise from healthcare facilities and associations around the state, the tool was expanded to include recommendations for all healthcare facility types. Filled with templates and sample documents, Weathering the Storm is a valuable resource as emergency plans are reviewed and updated. It also provides checklists for staffing and employee support, leadership, utilities and supplies, along with links to resources shared through the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response Technical Resources, Assistance Center and Information Exchange web sites. 

Created as a fillable PDF, facilities can now complete and save the document online for future reference. The tool is available on the NJHA Emergency Preparedness website.
