Nursing home administrators and others engaged in the management of nursing homes are consistently faced with complex, challenging and changing operational, clinical and legal situations that require a firm understanding of business and clinical ethics as well as federal and state compliance mandates.
NJHA and LeadingAge NJ have partnered with the law firm of Epstein Becker and Green, the N.J. Office of the Long Term Care Ombudsperson and National Quality Partners to offer a full day program April 21 that will satisfy the four hours of ethics content for administrator licensure.
This program, designed for nursing home administrators, compliance officers, risk managers, finance staff, department heads and clinical managers, will focus on the corporate compliance and ethics provisions of the final nursing home requirements of participation, federal fraud and abuse laws and regulations, anti-kickback and office of inspector general guidance related to new business relationships, identifying and investigating negligence, elder abuse and financial exploitation, using POLST appropriately and transforming advanced illness care.
