NJHA will host a complimentary Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN)webinar, Assessing the Risk for Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) in Hospitalized Medical Patients, March 17 from noon to 1 p.m.
VTE is a disease that includes a myriad of life-threatening disorders ranging from pulmonary embolism to deep vein thrombosis. The condition is relatively prevalent and is associated with long-term mortality and morbidity.
Presented by Alex C. Spyropoulos, MD, professor of medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, this program will give participants a greater understanding of the importance of “risk assessment” in the hospitalized patient for VTE.
Continuing education credits will be offered for CME, Nursing, Public Health, LNHA/CALA. Pharmacy credits are pending.
