As open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act Marketplace enters its last week, NJHA shared its successes and strategies with the American Hospital Association on an episode of the Get Enrolled podcast.

Jennifer Barrett Sryfi, director of community programs, and Michael Mimms, a Veteran Navigator working in the Serving Those Who Served program, described the outreach the Navigators have embarked on during the shortened enrollment period.

NJHA’s Veteran Navigators have been attending members’ enrollment outreach events and working individually with fellow veterans to encourage health insurance sign-ups. Their work is part of NJHA’s larger enrollment strategy, including working with the CoverNJ Coalition. Additional tools to promote the open enrollment period, which ends Dec. 15, are also available on the NJHA website.
