Aug. 08, 2017: NJHA to Host N.J. Sepsis Learning Action Collaborative Sept. 20

The work of New Jersey’s Sepsis Learning Action Collaborative continues with a Sept. 20 education program at NJHA to spread evidence-based sepsis interventions throughout the acute and post-acute care settings.

In this third year of the collaborative, hospitals face challenges related to managing sepsis in vulnerable patient populations, preventing readmissions related to sepsis and engaging patients and their families in sepsis quality improvement efforts aimed at early recognition and rapid treatment of sepsis.

The Sept. 20 program will discuss the current state of sepsis quality improvement activities in New Jersey and nationally, implementation of a pediatric sepsis screening and treatment program and strategies and resources to engage patients and families in sepsis care and improvement

Physicians, nurses and pharmacist infection preventionists are welcome.  Continuing education credits will be provided.
