Apr. 25, 2017: NJHA and HFMA to Host Finance Education for Clinicians

NJHA, in collaboration with the New Jersey chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), will host Finance Education for Clinicians May 11. This full-day education program will be held at NJHA and will include a networking lunch.

This year’s session will demonstrate how finance and clinical care are inter-related at hospitals. Guest speaker Dr. Ed Niewiadomski will present “Getting Paid for the Work You Do,” which will explain the importance of clinical documentation and its impact on reimbursement.

Participants will also be provided an introduction to operational finance and service line profit and loss statements.

This event will offer 5.25 contact hours of CEU nursing credits, six CPE accounting credits and five ACHE qualified education credits. Pharmacy credits are pending. Details and registration are available through the HFMA website. NJHA members should register as a “guest” on the HFMA website.
