Alexander J. Hatala, FACHE, NJHA Board Chair and President and CEO of Lourdes Health System
Alexander J. Hatala is president and chief executive officer of Lourdes Health System in Camden.
He joined Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in 1986 as executive vice president and COO. He was named chief executive officer in 1991 and four years later, president and CEO of Our Lady of Lourdes Health System.
Prior to joining Lourdes, Hatala served as executive vice president of St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago and Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla.
He is a member of the executive committee of the Greater Camden Partnership and member of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Board Economic Advisory Committee. He also is a board member of the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey; the Rutgers Business Advisory Council and the Catholic Healthcare Partnership of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Hospital Association and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Hatala earned a B.A. from Rutgers College and an MBA/HA from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
