Constituency Groups
Behavioral Health Constituency Group To identify to NJHA behavioral health provider issues and interests in order to address these areas in a comprehensive manner.
Chief Financial Officer Constituency GroupThe CFO Constituency Group, with representation from all member hospitals, will serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee (PDC). Its primary role will be to identify and, where appropriate, make recommendations on issues associated with hospital finances, and reimbursement. Sub-committees and discussion groups will be formed on an as needed basis.
Chief Information Officers Constituency GroupThe Chief Information Officer Constituency Group, with representation from all member hospitals, will serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee. Its primary role will be to identify and, where appropriate, make recommendations on issues associated with hospital information systems and other healthcare information technology related topics. Sub-committees and discussion groups will be formed on an as needed basis.
Continuing Care Constituency GroupThe Continuing Care Constituency Group, with representation from member hospitals with integrated delivery systems reflecting the continuum of care, will serve in an advisory capacity to the PDC to identify and make recommendations on issues relating to long-term care, home health care, adult day care, hospice, among other areas related to continuing care. Under the auspices of the Continuing Care Constituency Group are the Long Term Care Advisory Group, Home Health Care Advisory Group and the Acute Care Rehabilitation Hospital Advisory Group.
Corporate Compliance Constituency GroupThe Corporate Compliance Constituency Group, with representation from member hospitals and integrated delivery systems, will provide an ongoing educational forum to share information regarding government laws, regulations, standards and guidelines along with practical experiences and best practices to promote and maintain effective corporate compliance programs.
Emergency Preparedness Constituency Group
The Emergency Preparedness Constituency Group p
rovides a forum for disseminating information and facilitating discussion surrounding Emergency Preparedness issues. The Emergency Preparedness Constituency Group also allows for an opportunity to interact with staff from the Department of Health and Senior Services, Division ofHealth Emergency Preparedness and Response.
Government Relations Officers Constituency GroupThe Government Relations Officers Constituency Group will serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee. Its role will be to review legislation, serve as a conduit for communicating NJHA's advocacy efforts and assist in coordinating lobbying activities.
Human Resources Executives’ Constituency GroupThe Human Resources Executives’ Constituency Group, with representation from member hospitals and integrated delivery systems, will serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee to assist NJHA in identifying, understanding and making recommendations on human resources and workforce issues and trends within our member healthcare organizations.
In-House Counsel Constituency GroupRepresented by all hospital and health system in-house counsel to serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee
Managed Care Constituency GroupThe Managed Care Constituency Group will serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee to identify and make recommendations on managed care issues ranging from regulation and legislation, data needs/data reporting and corporate/business services, among other issues.
Nurse Executive Constituency GroupAssume a leadership approach in assuring the public that accessible, affordable, quality care in New Jersey hospitals and hospital systems will be preserved in the managed care environment.
Physician Executive Constituency GroupTo serve in an advisory capacity to the Policy Development Committee to identify and make recommendations on medical administrative issues
Public Relations Constituency GroupThe Public Relations Constituency Group meets regularly to discuss the communications, public and media relations implications of various issues and policies facing hospitals and healthcare delivery.
Teaching Hospital Constituency GroupTo set forth a process to achieve consensus by developing recommendations and rational policy on GME in New Jersey taking into consideration the following:
- Funding source(s) in a changing reimbursement environment
- Allocation - present level of hospital investment in training (slots - to include primary, specialty and IMG mix) and future needs
- Quality oversight of programs
