Charge:
To provide an ongoing forum for NJHA, the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network, and the Gift of Life Donor Program to collaborate on increasing the volume of organ donation within New Jersey hospitals.

  • To provide educational resources to hospitals regarding best practices in organ donation
  • To coordinate educational programs regarding successful models of organ donation programs at both a statewide and national level
  • To increase the number of New Jersey hospitals that participate in the Department of Health and Human Service’s national Organ Donation Collaborative
  • To communicate ongoing information to hospitals in improving performance compliance to the JCAHO standards regarding organ donation
  • To plan strategies to increase public awareness of how organ donation saves and enhances the lives of thousands
  • To coordinate advocacy efforts to support increased volume of organ donation in New Jersey
  • To assist in the collection and trending of organ donation as a means to assess the effectiveness of this effort
