Policy & Advocacy

NJHA serves as an advocate for acute care, specialty and government hospitals, as well as post acute providers, representing their concerns and interests to elected officials both on the state and federal level.

NJHA's staff includes a Government Affairs & Legal team that serves as an information liaison between the state's hospitals and their representatives in Trenton and Washington, D.C. Government Affairs staff present NJHA policy to key decision makers, committee staff and executive leaders through meetings and discussions, as well as through testimony at hearings. Member hospitals are often called on to assist in NJHA advocacy efforts. This influential united voice is necessary to achieve laws and regulations that are in the best interest of our healthcare institutions and the patients they serve.

This section of the NJHA website connects you to information concerning the top issues that NJHA Government Affairs staff are currently monitoring in Trenton and Washington D.C.
