NJHA Organ Donation
The New Jersey Hospital Association's Joint Organ Donation Website has been designed to assist hospitals and healthcare professionals in accessing state of the art information in regard to implementing best practices for increasing organ donation within all New Jersey hospitals. The website also offers current information on the activity of
NJHA's Joint Organ Donation Task Force which is represented by members of NJHA, the
New Jersey Sharing Network and the
Gift of Life Program and was established in 2004. NJHA is committed to increasing awareness of the importance and value of organ donation in saving and enhancing life. Therefore it is one of the few state hospital associations with a formal partnership with the two organ procurement organizations in the state, the New Jersey Sharing Network and the Gift of Life Program. Called the NJHA Joint Organ Donation Task Force, it was created to increase organ donation through communication of best practices in organ donation in all NJ hospitals and increasing public awareness of its life saving benefits Educational resources, advocacy efforts, benchmarking information, and links to other organ donation resources and websites are available and can be accessed by the public.
